Materials Coordinator

Job Summary

Lear Corporation is a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier serving major automotive manufacturers with world-class automotive seating and electrical products. Our team of over 165,000 people develops and produces products in 39 countries, operating in every major automotive manufacturing region. We are seeking a dedicated Materials Coordinator to join our globally positioned and successful teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation, implementation, and monitoring of production and material control systems, ensuring timely shipping, receipt, storage, and assortment of raw materials and finished products.
  • Scheduling of production and on-time shipments to customers, minimizing transportation, inventory, and obsolescence costs.
  • Inventory control and management, maintaining good reliability against the inventory system.
  • Ensuring a level schedule to meet customer requirements and operate the plant efficiently.
  • Tracking engineering and model year changes to protect customers and the plant from premium freight or obsolescence.
  • Coordinating semi-annual physical inventories and assisting staff in solving problems.
  • Providing operational resources to maintain a healthy and disciplined work environment.
  • Analyzing and monitoring excesses and obsolete raw materials and finished products.
  • Ensuring the correct flow of material in the internal and external supply chain.
  • Handling excesses and obsoletes correctly.
  • Planning production based on defined FG design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as Materials Manager or related role in the automotive wiring harness manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Procurement, logistics, warehouse, and C-TPAT.
  • QAD System MfgPro Advanced.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • English advanced level (Bilingual).
