Overview
The position of Senior Compliance Specialist, Latin America, within Microsoft's Americas Enterprise Compliance Finance team, is responsible for ensuring strict adherence to company policies and risk mitigation in Mexico. The role reports directly to the Americas Enterprise Compliance Lead and collaborates closely with the Microsoft Mexico Country Manager, CFO, and the Enterprise Commercial and Public Sector teams.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide overall finance compliance support, advising on sales deal execution, proactively managing risk, and establishing a stronger culture of compliance.
- To be accountable for implementing the company's compliance framework, timely execution of compliance rhythms and processes, and influencing leadership and business compliance champions to foster a strong culture of trust across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field and 6+ years experience in finance or financial compliance, or equivalent experience.
- Business level fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- To engage proactively with compliance stakeholders, such as the compliance committee, to ensure required topics are discussed and facilitated. This includes monitoring compliance execution, identifying issues, and escalating them as necessary.
- To identify and review compliance risks and issues at the end customer and in the partner ecosystem, including Sales Deal Execution, Procurement, and Corruption.
- To implement appropriate controls and surface issues to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), peers, management, and corporate teams to drive program/process improvements and identify novel solutions to compliance issues.
Monitoring & Auditing
- To define the framework, scope, and definition of testing, making adjustments and updates in coordination with the central team. Reviews quarterly monitoring test results and dashboard metrics to ensure accuracy and team accountability.
- To participate in annual risk assessments and ensure relevant stakeholders are taking appropriate actions and controls are functioning appropriately.
Education
- To leverage available training and train business stakeholders to ensure a robust business compliance community. Facilitates the landing of compliance policies and processes.
- To facilitate policies and processes by reviewing and developing Role Based Compliance (RBC) trainings and managing the delivery of trainings that ensure message consistency and risk prioritization.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
