About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. As a Senior Scada Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and testing new SCADA applications and interfaces for oil field applications.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements for SCADA systems in real-time environments.
  • Develop and implement manual and automation testing strategies for SCADA systems.
  • Configure user roles and manage accounts for SCADA Wonderware applications.
  • Identify and report issues within SCADA applications, collaborating with development teams to track and resolve incident tickets.
  • Support existing applications and participate in new field deployments alongside onsite automation teams.
  • Integrate on-field devices into corporate SCADA systems for alarming, historian/trend analysis, and HMI display.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Proficiency in English (B2, C1, C2 levels).
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, or similar fields.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with industrial instrumentation (HMI) using Wonderware, preferably.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, internet IP, OPC, OPC-UA, MQTT), or experience using protocol management tools like Aveva.
  • Hands-on experience setting up, configuring, and establishing communications with RTUs (Emerson FB3000 and ROC800).
  • Testing SCADA applications (Wonderware, Oasys) on servers and cloud environments.
  • Programming/scripting skills using Python, JavaScript, SQL.
  • Experience with SQL server management and connecting SCADA applications.
  • Able to work independently and efficiently, meeting deadlines in a development environment.
  • Experience working with SCADA platforms like Wonderware/Oasys.
  • Background in oil and gas field operations.
