Hashmap is a leading technology company that provides innovative solutions to its clients. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Lead API Developer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop APIs that meet their needs.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy APIs using Java and Spring framework.
- Write high-quality, tested, and documented Java code that adheres to industry standards.
- Develop microservices and REST APIs that are scalable and secure.
- Communicate with external web services and ensure seamless integration.
- Produce, maintain, and modify REST APIs and microservices to meet changing business needs.
- Ensure APIs are developed using industry-standard best practices and are secure, reliable, and efficient.
- Identify and fix issues or bugs that arise during development and deployment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java/J2EE, Spring framework, and AWS Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS).
- Experience in API layer security, API logging, API testing, and creating REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools.
- Proficient in SQL and stored procedures, with experience in RDS Oracle DB.
- Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes, including Jira, Git/SVN, Jenkins, and DevOps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with End-to-end Test Frameworks, such as Fitnesse/Test API, Protractor, and Cucumber.
- Knowledge of performance test tools, such as JMeter.
