The Mission

As a talented Software Architect, you will be part of our growing Cloud Native Applications team. Your mission will be to collaborate with a team of developers to deliver high-quality applications and services to our customers. You will leverage your expertise in building applications in the cloud and utilizing cloud native services to make them more reliable and scalable.

Your Assignment
  • You will guide Cayliens and customers through Agile ceremonies, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • You will translate customer requirements into actionable tasks for engineers, driving project success.
  • You will delegate tasks to a team of engineers, overseeing project progress and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Lead requirements gathering, backlog grooming, and architecture discussions to drive project forward.
  • Apply your understanding of DevOps pipelines, including build automation, branching strategies, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in customer dev, test, and production environments, providing expert support.
  • Automate software testing at multiple levels and monitor results, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Write production-quality code, including unit and integration tests, to meet high standards.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to deliver top-quality cloud native applications on AWS for customers.
  • Clearly communicate and document your designs, processes, and procedures, promoting transparency and knowledge sharing.
  • You will demonstrate a passion for staying curious, mentoring peers, tackling new technologies, and learning from our world-class team of engineers.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced teammates, while also being open to coaching and mentoring from our experts.
Your Qualifications
  • 5+ years of proven experience in software development, cloud systems, scalable architectures.
  • A strong background in established engineering practices, including agile methodologies and version control.
  • Expertise in underlying web technologies like HTML and CSS, and experience developing with frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, MVC .Net, etc.
  • Experience with modern server-side scripting languages such as python, node.js, php, ruby, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB).
  • Demonstrated experience in API integrations across applications, vendors, networks, and cloud environments.
  • An understanding of modern application architectures (event-based systems, message queues, microservices, etc).
  • Development experience on a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Proven ability to learn new technology quickly and effectively, adapting to changing project needs.
  • Ability to lead a work stream, contributing individually while helping to organize others on the team.
  • A desire to integrate innovative technologies into the development workflow, driving innovation and improvement.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI technologies.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Experience configuring AWS resources, leveraging the power of cloud computing.
