Validation Specialist Role

This position requires a skilled Validation Specialist to work on the development and implementation of validation plans and schedules for Infotainment/Telematics/Over The Air/Omnibus Subsystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in validation and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement validation plans and schedules
  • Prepare and conduct tests to ensure product quality
  • Report on ADV status and support quality processes
  • Lead and support evaluation procedure development
  • Gain and submit best practices, lessons learned, and customer surveys
  • Support ADV process to reduce hardware and realize RLM strategy
  • Lead export validation activities in foreign countries with local partners
  • Support vehicle validation - type approval activities
  • Lead work with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Participate in problem-solving teams and DFMEA work groups
  • Build and lead vehicle and/or commodity ADV sub-plans
  • Review program/process results, document, and update product/process knowledge
  • Analyze and interpret resulting data from tests, resolve data anomalies, and maintain frequent communication with customers
  • Prepare formal written test reports

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering: Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aeronautics, or Computer Science
  • +3 years of experience in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in validation of a production intent product
  • High level of program management skills
  • Effective presenter, negotiator, collaborator
  • Self-motivated to achieve results on time with minimum supervision
  • High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
  • Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally with global business partners to meet mutual goals
  • Team player with excellent organization, written, and oral communication skills
  • Experience with GM Validation related processes and milestones (PRTS, PQMS, Scorecard, etc.) (Preferred)
  • GVDP 5.x and 7.x command
  • DFMEA
  • Vehicular Infotainment System
  • Electrical Modules reflashing
  • Android and IOS platforms
  • Availability to travel (if required)
  • DFSS Green Belt (Black Belt preferred)
  • Action oriented
