Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our team at our Cosoleacaque, Veracruz facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring optimal plant performance and availability.

About You:

• You have a strong background in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably with experience in power generation or similar industries.
• You possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• You have a solid understanding of electrical and instrumentation principles, including circuit analysis, control systems, and instrument calibration.
• You are proficient in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and other automation technologies.
• You hold a relevant trade certificate or equivalent experience in a related field.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems, including motor control centers, electric motors, HIMA PLCs, and protection systems for transformers and generators.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.
• Collaborate with the electrical supervisor and other maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation of the plant and adherence to safety protocols.
• Participate in routine inspections, testing, and calibration of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• TG1 and TG2 Gas Turbines and their auxiliary systems.
• Heat recovery boilers GVRC1 and GVRC2.
• ETV- Steam Turbine with Extraction and auxiliary systems.
• Natural Gas supply system.
• ET- Cooling Tower and cooling circuit.
• EC A and B Instrument Air Compressors.
• Monitoring, Analysis and Sampling Systems.
• Chemical Dosage System.
• Water Treatment Plant: Inverse osmosis Mixed beds with cationic and anionic units
• GIS electrical substation.
• Main and Auxiliary Transformers, electrical systems, boards and load centers, DC and AC, UPS and Battery Banks, Emergency Generator.
• Fire Protection System and auxiliary equipment.
• Distributed Control System.
• Electrical Panels.
• Knowledge of industry and relevant health and safety regulations.
