POSITION SUMMARY

The Industrial Project Engineer is tasked with the planning, design, execution, and oversight of integrated production and service delivery systems. This role is essential in ensuring performance, reliability, maintainability, adherence to schedules, and effective cost management within the production environment.

The Industrial Project Engineer aims to enhance profitability, operational effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and the ongoing improvement of products and services throughout their lifecycle.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities align with those of a Senior Industrial Engineer, with a focus on cross-functional initiatives across various Jabil locations.

  • Lead cross-functional teams from multiple locations to identify, develop, test, and implement state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, systems, tools, procedures, and processes.
  • Ensure that existing and future processes and manufacturing systems comply with or surpass customer and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze and enhance customer metrics to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Serve as a liaison between Operations and Business Units across Jabil sites for program transitions, contributing to transfer plans, timelines, data support, technology, process, procedural requirements, and knowledge transfer activities, as well as participating in launch initiatives as necessary.
  • Provide support and technical guidance for new facility and/or Workcell startups.
  • Mentor and offer technical assistance to Industrial Engineering staff at Jabil sites.
  • Direct and synchronize the standardization of systems, procedures, and practices across all Jabil workcells.
  • Ensure that current and future quality and manufacturing systems meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.
Design optimized human interfaces for SMT and Backend/DF in the following domains:

  • Raw material delivery processes, storage, and line feed systems.
  • Product flow and online material handling systems.
  • Work in Progress (WIP) management, sizing, and buffer storage systems.
  • Ergonomic workstation design and layout.
  • Process optimization strategies.
  • Layout planning for workcells and/or complete Jabil facilities.
  • Implementation of 5S housekeeping techniques.
  • Development, sustainability, and improvement of all assembly processes.
  • Conduct time study analyses.
  • Lead and drive yield enhancement programs.
  • Manage box build quotes and products.
  • Provide systems support (e.g., SAP, MES, IEDB...).
The role may require expertise or support in one or more of the following Industrial Engineering categories:

  • Capacity Sizing
  • PFMEA, DFA
  • Fixtures and Tools
  • Simulation
  • Quoting
  • Warehousing
  • Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Key Requirements:

Understanding and application of a wide range of industrial engineering tools (e.g., work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.).

Comprehension of Jabil's global strategies and direction.

Familiarity with site facilities, capabilities, and their alignment with Jabil's strategies and direction.

Strong financial and analytical skills.

Demonstrated success in change management, implementing, and managing continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Excellent communication abilities.



  • Proficiency in personal computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
