Eaton's Industrial Sector is seeking a Senior Buyer to join our team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Procure goods and services to meet plant goals of on-time delivery, delivery on hand, productivity, and schedule attainment.
2. Maintain communication and updates with internal customers regarding material availability and risks.
3. Collaborate with the Sourcing team on cost-out projects.
4. Communicate and coordinate with product line supervisors/leaders and purchasing teams to ensure schedule attainment and recovery if required.
5. Conduct root cause analysis of material delays and implement improvement actions for suppliers.
6. Plan and order necessary materials following the ERP system.
7. Maintain inventory levels of materials in accordance with monthly objectives.
8. Expedite overdue materials to prevent raw material shortages.
9. Escalate issues using plant tools such as GPS (shortages) and SPIR (price changes).
10. Communicate directly with suppliers regarding material usage as per forecast.
11. Follow up on material returns and create corrective action plans.
12. Troubleshoot problem invoices to avoid supplier credit suspension.
13. Conduct inventory analysis to provide inventory reduction actions.
14. Provide necessary support to production to achieve finished product goals.
**Requirements:**
1. Bachelor's Degree, APICS certification preferred.
2. 3-5 years of experience in a similar position with electronic components and/or automotive industries.
3. Problem-solving tools (A3, PDCA, 5WHY's, etc.) and ERP/MRP system experience (SAP preferred).
4. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
5. Strong communication and presentation skills, understanding of key financial metrics, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills working with other functions.
6. Strong negotiation skills.
