Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Molding and Tooling Process Engineer to join our team at Bissell. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for managing the design, construction, and implementation of injection molds and tooling required to support the development of new products and existing products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the design, construction, and development of secondary equipment such as sonic welders, heat stake machines, clip machines, and end-of-arm tooling.
  • Manage the design, construction, and development of check fixture gauges and update standard tooling specifications as required.
  • Evaluate mold flow analysis and perform manufacturing feasibility studies and design reviews as necessary.
  • Provide support and direction to tooling vendors and molding suppliers.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for tooling and process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing processing and tool work.
  • Development of tooling for plastic injection interior and exterior products.
  • Injection molding knowledge and expertise.
  • Knowledge of rotary two-shot injection, rim molding, and gas assist.
  • Ability to use Mold Flow for the development of injection mold design.
  • 3D CAD experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for supplier/customer interface.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good planning and organization/work management skills.
  • Results-oriented/self-starter.
  • Familiarity with PC-based programs (Windows, Excel, Word, PPT).
  • Problem assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual.
  • US Visa.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing processing and tool work.
  • Development of tooling for plastic injection interior and exterior products.
  • Injection molding knowledge and expertise.
  • Knowledge of rotary two-shot injection, rim molding, and gas assist.
  • Ability to use Mold Flow for the development of injection mold design.
  • 3D CAD experience.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T.
Specialized Training or Skills Required
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to manage the flow of data, perform analysis, generate summary reports, and communicate by voice or data while being connected in the office, at home, or while traveling by laptop or mobile device regularly without regard to time zone or day of the week.

Pay: From $34,000.00 per month
