Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical and radiographic examinations, diagnose oral pathology, and provide restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, periodontic, pedodontic, oral surgery, and preventive orthodontic services.
- Coordinate Dental Health Department activities in accordance with Pueblo of San Felipe Tribal Administration and Indian Service P.L.93-638 contract funding requirements.
- Provide direct care services, advise staff on oral health matters, and refer patients to authorized contract facilities when necessary.
- Inform patients about good dental health practices, participate in community-based education programs, and coordinate equipment maintenance for the San Felipe Dental Clinic.
- Assist with data analysis, supervise dental auxiliaries, serve on committees, and maintain contracts with related professional services.
Requirements:
- Degree in dental medicine (D.M.D) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from a school approved by the Council on Dental Education, American Dental Association (ADA).
- Basic understanding of Public Health principles, health education, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Ability to communicate effectively, manipulate data, and adapt educational programs to meet cultural requirements.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and familiarity with the Internet and email services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- New Mexico Dental License.
- Familiarity with statistical data development and analysis.
- San Felipe Pueblo Preference and Local Community/Reservation Resident Preference.
Compensation: This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
