We are seeking a Data Transformation Engineer for Memory Solutions to join our team at Micron.

Estimated salary: $140,000 - $170,000 per year.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work on the development of cutting-edge memory solutions that transform how the world uses information.

The selected candidate will be responsible for enabling flawless and issue-free release of products to manufacturing, working closely with Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments.

The general responsibilities of the position include:

DRAM Probe/ Back End Testing
  • Improving probe testing coverage, quality, and efficiency on DRAM products
  • Owning the probe test flow, reviewing, and signing off probe test program releases to ensure quality control
  • Utilizing state-of-the-art in-house engineering equipment to support product characterization and electrical failure analysis
  • Developing creative testing algorithms to improve testing efficiency
New Generation Product Development
  • Responsible for new product startup and yield improvement
  • Supporting design verification and in-depth circuit analysis of new products using CAD tools and Verilog simulations
  • Working with the wafer fab process/integration group to address process-related defects affecting product yield
  • Identifying design marginalities and recommending design fixes for circuit-related problems
Functional and Design Validation
  • Designing novel test algorithms and developing test programs for validating DRAM features and commands
  • Using high-speed tester hardware to perform validation of new NAND devices
  • Analyzing failures generated from evaluations
  • Automating program development and work processes using scripting
Product Yield Enhancement
  • Identifying causes of low yield through systematic analysis
  • Working closely with various engineering groups to resolve process/defects-related issues
  • Performing electrical/physical failure analysis to understand failure mechanisms relating to defects/fab process
  • Utilizing statistical tools for detailed data analysis on products to drive yield improvement projects
DRAM Products
  • Developing high-quality and cost-efficient DRAM test strategies
  • Understanding DRAM defect mechanisms and DRAM system error recovery features
  • Collaborating with test engineering teams to define and secure necessary test fixtures for memory and system testing
  • Conducting electrical failure analysis of DRAM products through different phases of the product life cycle such as qualification, high-volume manufacturing, and customer returns
  • Extensive usage of data parsing and data analysis for improving yields, test times, and quality of products

The specified role does not encompass finalization of sales agreements or execution of sales contracts. It also does not carry the authority to make definitive decisions regarding contracts, their conclusion, or termination. Furthermore, the role is not designed to involve participation in pricing negotiations or authorization of contracts.
