Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reservation Sales Agent to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a Reservation Sales Agent, you will be responsible for processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify guest reservation needs and determine the appropriate room type and rate.
  • Verify availability of room type and rate, and explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
  • Accommodate and document special requests, and answer questions about property facilities and services.
  • Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.
  • Input and access data in reservation systems, and respond to any challenges found for accommodating rooming requests.
  • Oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations, and input group rooming lists using reservation systems.
  • Set-up proper billing accounts according to Accounting policies.

Requirements

  • Follow all company policies and procedures, and ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, and anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, and prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards, and read and visually verify information in a variety of formats.
