Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the cost accounting functions within the organization, ensuring precise and timely financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting with a focus on product costing visibility.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance continuously, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing best practices in financial management to support the company's strategic goals.
  • Supervise a team of cost accountants/analysts, develop cost standards, and provide insights to support financial decision-making.
  • Maintain finance SOPs, DOPs, and work instructions aligned with corporate guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with metrics and internal reporting as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Controller on the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Provide ad hoc trend analysis and standard cost assessments.
  • Support global annual cost roll-ups and update cost standards for product operations.
  • Coordinate and analyze standard revaluation reserve balances and related activities.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's accounting policies in all costing-related activities.
  • Support the Product Operations Finance team in developing direct labor and overhead rates for global operations.
  • Oversee the standard costing setting activities, calendar, and deliverables, working closely with all business unit controllers and plants worldwide.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes for inventory, manufacturing expenses, and variances.
  • Review and audit bills of materials, routings, labor, and overhead rates.
  • Review and audit cycle counts and procedures for excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams in system and process implementation projects, actively identifying opportunities for process improvement or operational automation.
  • Drive our culture strategy by fostering our mission and foundational principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is required, with previous roles such as Senior Cost Accountant or Senior Financial Analyst.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing cost accounting environment is required.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel, with SAP and Hyperion Planning experience preferred.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and influence business decisions using fact-based financial information.
