Horry County Schools seeks an experienced and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music education and be committed to delivering high-quality instruction to students.
About the RoleThis position involves teaching music classes, planning lessons, and developing curriculum to meet the needs of students. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters musical growth and development.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver music lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Develop and implement curriculum that meets state and national standards
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to inform instruction
- Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes social skills and teamwork
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
- Bachelor's Degree in Music Education or related field
- South Carolina teaching certification in Music
- Experience working with students of varying ages and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The Music Teacher will work in a school setting, interacting with students, teachers, and parents. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience. Horry County Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
