Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces, ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances are present and in working order.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs, and assembling bed frames
• Vacuum behind and underneath furniture, spot clean carpets and upholstery, dust, and touch-up paint
• Inspect and repair grout and caulking, and maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms in accordance with property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines
• Perform miscellaneous minor repairs, such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls
• Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor

Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
• Ability to assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
