**Quality Engineer Role Overview**

Bosch Group is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products and services. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, executing, and releasing preventive quality activities for supplied components related to new projects and engineering change requests.
  • Conducting technical supplier discussions with project teams and suppliers to clarify part requirements and quality-related project milestones.
  • Evaluating and confirming supplier technical capability before supplier awarding.
  • Defining and following up on early production containment and Safe Launch activities.
  • Releasing production part approval processes and final releases of purchased components.
  • Directing and coordinating the resolution of quality problems related to supplied components before start of production and during launch maturation.
  • Providing support to the team to solve technical quality topics for allocated components.
  • Reporting preventive quality topics during escalation meetings and to the management team when necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with Bosch quality requirements at the supplier and their sub-suppliers during the product development process and for the release.
  • Assuring that assigned projects and commodities are qualified according to existing processes and guidelines and that timing is met.
  • Demonstrating project management skills, including planning, prioritizing, monitoring, coordinating, and change and risk management.
  • Working closely with purchasing project managers, engineering, and manufacturing as an active and continuous simultaneous engineering team member.
  • Ensuring an environment that fosters collaboration and effective working relationships within the cross-functional SE team.
  • Demonstrating commitment to empowerment, development, diversity, and inclusion in an assigned area and across business units.
  • Deploying lessons learned and coordinating activities to continuously improve the Preventive Quality and release process.

**Qualifications**

  • 3 years of professional experience in project purchasing, supplier quality, manufacturing, engineering, or quality management.
  • Understanding of quality management and experience with preventive quality processes, as well as problem-solving tools (8D, 5Why, Shainin, 6Sigma, Kepner-Tregoe, etc.).
  • Good project management skills (planning, coordinating, prioritizing, and communicating complex tasks within the project team, risk assessment, and escalation).
  • Willingness to work in an international team, with the ability to adapt to different project requirements, environments, and to travel within and outside the home country when necessary.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish, other languages like German are a plus.
  • Experience with mechanical components (Stamping, Casting, Plastic Injection, Connectors & PCB), sourcing, or supplier quality management from the automotive industry is a plus.
