Manufacturing Engineer

As a key member of our team at MANN+HUMMEL GmbH, you will play a crucial role in the development of innovative filtration solutions for various industries. Your expertise in manufacturing and project management will be instrumental in driving our company's vision of 'leadership in filtration.'
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the creation of quotations for new products and lines, ensuring feasibility and alignment with company goals.
- Review and validate product designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure manufacturability and quality.
- Assess production volumes and capacity, identifying opportunities for optimization and process improvement.
- Develop and implement manufacturability and investment strategies, including headcount, process, tooling, and machinery requirements.
- Prepare and present CAPEX information to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, quality engineers, and production personnel, to drive project success.
- Develop and validate documentation related to industrialization, including work instructions, P-FMEA, and parameters.
- Coordinate the construction and release of new equipment, machinery, and tooling, ensuring timely and cost-effective implementation.
- Generate requirements for direct and indirect personnel, ensuring adequate staffing for new production lines.
- Provide training and support for new processes and launches, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to production.
- Ensure quality and cost control throughout the product lifecycle, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and environmental management systems.
- Collaborate with the sustainability team to ensure the long-term viability of our quality and environmental management systems.
- Develop and deploy applicable procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Participate in technical knowledge sharing and exchange with the corporate LEAD TEAM, driving innovation and best practices across the organization.
- Attend and contribute to meetings convened by the group, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive production process improvements.
- Generate and share lessons learned (LL) from programs, ensuring P-FMEA updates and continuous improvement.
We are seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer with a strong background in industrial/mechanical/mechatronic engineering. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing/project engineering, with a focus on new programs and APQP. Additionally, they should have a strong understanding of lean manufacturing, PFMEA, and special customer requirements. Proficiency in SAP, quality management systems, and environmental management systems is also essential. Fluency in English (B2 level) is required for effective communication and collaboration with global teams.
