Eaton, a leading global power management company, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum.

About the Role:

In this position, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining 2D drawings and 3D models, adhering to business CAD standards. You will provide direct support on generating and updating product definition data, analyzing and validating assembly activities such as fit analysis, tolerance stackup analysis, etc. Additionally, you will perform engineering changes activities such as creation/modification of material master or bills of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models for LIPE products.
  • Support design of LIPE products to address improvements.
  • Develop and improve design guidelines and processes.
  • Review and update drawings, create or modify material master and bills of materials through the ECR/CO process.
  • Work with departments involved in the execution of NPD and cost out projects.
  • Generate and maintain customer drawings.
  • Interact with both Queretaro and global team during ECR/CO process.
  • Exercises leadership by sharing technical and practical knowledge with other team members.
  • SUPPORT ON ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS, DOCUMENT AND SOLVE DESIGN ISSUES.
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with other areas.
  • Participate on cost out initiatives as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or similar and 2-3 years of experience as a product or design engineer. You must have proficient knowledge of 3D design software, GD&T proficiency, mechanical design knowledge, and experience in manufacturing plant as design or product engineer. Experience using ENOVIA or other Product Lifecycle Management System is also highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

We are looking for candidates with creativity, initiative, and self-starter qualities, who can demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills and possess ethical, detail-oriented characteristics. If you have experience in BOM management, SAP experience, or CREO experience, it would be an added advantage.
