Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents affecting our local IT environments, including compute, telephony, LAN, and MAN networks.
- Support and deploy user requests and changes to the IT infrastructure environment based on IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
- Monitor and perform required activities to meet ITSM Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Security Report requirements based on ITSM statistics, server monitoring, and security console reports.
- Perform continuous systems and equipment changes and updates based on analysis of results.
- Install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software-related problems.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues for sites, departments, or user-related voice or data services.
- Develop, implement, and perform various system administration tasks via commonly used concepts, best practices, and procedures for daily operations of network infrastructure systems.
- Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity, and perform system backups and recovery.
- Receive instructions and follow pre-established guidelines to handle special projects. Provide updates at meetings. Coordinate and direct outside vendors or contractors on a project basis, maintenance, or problem resolution.
- Provide functional and technical leadership to junior team members.
- Plan, recommend, and implement hardware and software solutions for future integration into regional or global infrastructure.
- 1-3 years of related experience in enterprise business-level experience for deployment, support, management, and troubleshooting of various technologies, including Windows PCs, automatic software and operating system deployment, laser and barcode networked printers, Windows Active Directory, Linux and Windows servers, data user data backup protection for business continuity and disaster recovery, VMware virtual environment, Cisco switches, VLAN routing, secure isolation of legacy operating system networked PCs, wireless sensors and access points, Cisco voice and data and video systems, secure mobile device configuration, IoT devices, and page and sound and environmental monitoring equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
The ideal candidate will have a typical office environment with occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, cold, and heat. Some elements are occasionally present, making conditions less desirable than usual in an office environment. The ability to securely climb a 16-foot ladder or use an electrical elevator is required. The capacity to hand-carry a CPU or a monitor is also necessary.
