About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chief Engineer to lead our development team and drive innovation in rear lamp development projects. As a key member of our technical leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical realization of our projects, meeting customer requirements, and achieving project milestones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development team and coordinate the mechanical, electronics, optical, simulation, and software domains in rear lamp development projects.
  • Ensure the technical realization of rear lamp development projects, meeting legal and customer requirements, and achieving timing and cost milestones.
  • Responsible for the coordination and analysis of technical requirements from our customers and the development of the system concept with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Evaluate technical changes and develop and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Bundle the knowledge of the functions represented and represent these functions in the project team and in the direction of the customer.
  • Define the system breakdown in terms of hardware, software, and design and commission their project-specific development system characteristics.
  • Analyze correlations and effects and ensure the reliable realization of system properties and release defined component configurations after testing.
Requirements
  • A completed degree in physics or mechatronics, mechanical, or electronics engineering with a focus on design, lighting technology, or electronics and strong analytical thinking.
  • More than 9 years of experience in the development of electronic, optical, or mechanical systems and an expert in at least one of these disciplines. Knowledge in systems engineering is a plus.
  • Capability to lead multi-disciplinary and multi-location teams, manage budget, resources, define timing plans, and prioritize activities to achieve customer and internal milestones.
  • Capability to handle customer relationships.
  • Fluent in English and a high disposition to travel and mobility.
  • Self-initiative, organized, and ownership.
