Job Summary:
The IT Manager will lead a team of IT professionals in delivering technology solutions that align with key organizational objectives. This role will plan, coordinate, direct, and design project-related team activities and provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of an IT group.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide feedback to direct reports to raise awareness of strengths and opportunities
- Communicate and clarify roles and responsibilities, expectations for each team member
- Ensure team members understand their career paths and partner with them to identify opportunities to grow and achieve career goals
- Establish, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation
- Implement activities to ensure team performance meets or exceeds stated KPIs from IT leadership
- Administer annual performance reviews based on consistent, candid feedback
- Manage indirect resources assigned to project tasks, including consulting resources
- Design and provide input into training plans for team members
- Application Ownership and Solution Delivery: Ensure effective management of all aspects, including planning, implementation, support, budget, and change management, of business applications in related areas
- Develop and execute IT general controls processes aligned to application ownership
- Business Engagement: Understand and ensure alignment of IT projects in related areas
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Information Systems, or other related area
- 6+ years of experience
- Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and Office tools, experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Experience communicating technical information to non-technical team members
- Special Skills: Proven leadership and project management experience, strong understanding of roles and responsibilities, ability to drive initiatives through multiple levels of business, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness
