Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join as a Sr. Power Electronics Mechanical Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical components for Hybrid/Electric Inverter and Converter Systems
  • Develop powertrain, driveline, and packaging of electronics and circuit boards
  • Ensure design compliance with the BorgWarner Bill of Design
  • Design products and components to meet customer specifications
  • Perform mechanical analysis and verification, including thermal management, vibration capability, thermal shock, and tolerance stack
  • Document design as needed and required
  • Develop and interface with the supply base in support of program needs and purchasing initiatives
  • Interface with customers as needed
  • Provide written and oral presentations as needed
  • Follow a structured problem-solving approach to resolve issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical hardware design experience
  • Automotive electronics experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with automotive environmental and durability requirements
  • Experience with NX or similar CAD applications
  • Experience with analysis tools (preferred)
