Job Summary

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team. As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for optimizing the use of financial resources to maximize profitability and ensure long-term financial sustainability of the Service Organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the hourly rate composition to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Review and approve costs impacting the hourly rate account to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Monitor site expenses and ensure adherence to budget guidelines to minimize risks and optimize financial performance.
  • Own the analysis and challenge allocations charged to contracts from support departments to ensure accurate and fair allocation of costs.
  • Lead trainings for the cost center, projects, and PR control to ensure general knowledge of parameters and compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Control PRs in the subregion cost center and projects to ensure reporting on demand of status, R&O, tendencies, and seasonality.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Finance, Control & Accounting roles with a solid understanding of long-term projects or PM experience with performance management concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Corporate Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related analytical field.
  • English proficiency, written and spoken.
  • Combined with a significant experience in operations, finance department, or performance management.
  • Strategical mindset with solid stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong skills in business understanding and information/data analysis.
  • Good understanding of the wind industry or similar industries.
  • Experience with PPI, data analysis, and insights delivery.
  • Good knowledge on Power BI tool and desirable programming (any language).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (specially Excel).
  • Systematic and Inquisitive skills.
  • Ability to work accordingly to procedures, deadlines, and timelines.
  • Goal-oriented, highly committed way of working and self-planning skills.
  • A convincing cross-functional communicator who knows how to mobilize people in a global and matrix organization.
  • Ability to work in a team, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
  • A high degree of customer orientation and pronounced service awareness.
  • Leadership skills that will enable you to communicate efficiently with other teams and your own, especially in case of remote team management.
  • Flexibility, availability, good organization skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders including senior executives from various functions.
  • Ability to handle multiple short and long-term priorities.
  • Organizational skills and experience working in a high volume of workload environment with a capacity to prioritize, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform, and always work with a customer-focused approach.
  • Good investigative skills including the ability to evaluate and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with issues creatively and achieve business-focused solutions.
  • Proactiveness, resilience, and adaptability to changes in work procedures and new projects.
