As a Claims Expert at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, you will be responsible for the effective management and adjustment of claims from first advice to settlement of a portfolio of Mexican Insurance Claims. You will also participate in Wholesale business as possible. Your key responsibilities will include negotiating and defending SR's position, liaising with internal and external service providers and Specialists, managing key internal and external stakeholders and customer relationships with an emphasis on key clients, collaborating with the Claims Operations Team to ensure proper claims administration and data quality throughout portfolios, demonstrating Swiss Re claim's expertise and service excellence at industry and market events, reviewing and supporting development of wordings, and tailored solutions for clients in cooperation with contract services, planning and attending claims audits, ensuring compliance with claims guidelines, controls and reporting, including adherence to Swiss Re Group guidelines and Mexican regulation, contributing to claims team in the region and global, and claims reporting and represent SR against local authority.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Claims Expert with a strong background in the Mexican market claims environment. You will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Mexican insurance market. You will be responsible for negotiating claims, have knowledge of the Mexican Insurance Market, and possess analytical, negotiation and influencing skills. You will also have strong verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English and Spanish, and be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Additionally, you will have flexibility and ability to work under time pressure with multiple priorities, proficiency in IT (MS Office) and Operational areas, ability to identify and address potential conflict situations / scenarios, flexibility to travel as necessary to manage claims in responsibility within the region and develop broker/client relationships as appropriate, technical capabilities including an understanding of the financial impact of claims decisions (e.g. on reserves and cash flow), provide actionable Claims' insights to internal stakeholders, including studies, reviews and analysis relating to claims, emerging risks, legal, regulatory and societal developments and other industry topics, customer-centric mindset to provide a superior claims experience, deliver the highest quality claim handling and customer service consistent with the Corporate Solutions Claim Commitment and Claim Handling Expectations, handle claims with high severity/complexity and/or Company reputational risk potential, advising customers on loss prevention and resolution, proactive claim investigation, coverage and damage/loss evaluation, develop and implement appropriate strategy for fair claim resolution, to include settlement negotiation, where needed, and work closely with insureds, claimants and brokers. You will also maintain a diary system to monitor activity on reported claims and take appropriate follow-up measures.
