Logistics Specialist

At FedEx Lac, we are seeking a highly skilled Courier to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of packages and documents to our customers.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is looking to kick-start their career in logistics and transportation. As a Courier, you will be responsible for operating non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently, while representing the company in a professional manner.

• Operate vehicles to transport packages and documents between locations.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering queries and addressing concerns in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Ensure that packages conform to FedEx features of service and are properly labeled and documented.
• Determine the legality of packages, including special requirements for dangerous goods and international shipments.
• Separate packages by service type and destination according to established procedures.
• Scan packages according to prescribed procedures and demonstrate proficiency in features of service and equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of one year's experience driving 3.5 ton trucks.
• A valid driver's license for the vehicle assigned, in accordance with specific country regulations.
• A good driving record.
• The ability to lift 70 lbs (32kgs) and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs (68kgs) with appropriate equipment.
• Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player abilities.
• The ability to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and math sections of the Basic Skills Test.
