Key Responsibilities- Design and develop iOS client code solutions that meet product strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines, and principles.
- Collaborate with software engineers, UX/UI designers, quality engineers, product owners/analysts to deliver high-performing, quality customer experiences that are engaging, purposeful, and powerful in their simplicity.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality.
- Advocate for the mobile platform through internal and external developer communities.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies related to mobile development, including Swift, Kotlin, and 3rd-party libraries.
- Contribute to group discussions, incorporate feedback/communication from the broader team, and mentor junior to mid-level team members.
- Engage with developers outside of the local sprint team across various disciplines, including Android, iOS, APIs, and Web.
- Lead the delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and architects.
- Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams.
- Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions.
- Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms.
- Intermediate-Advanced English fluency.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply).
- At least 3 years of experience building iOS applications.
- At least 3 years of experience with Swift.
- Master's Degree.
- 5+ years of experience building iOS applications.
- 4+ years of experience with Swift.
- 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile practices.
Capital One will only consider candidates who are Mexico citizens or permanent residents.
