Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. As a Junior Oracle DBA, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining Oracle database systems, ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of our databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Installation and Configuration: Assist in the installation and configuration of Oracle database software, set up and configure database instances, and perform routine maintenance tasks such as database backups and recovery.
- Database Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Monitor database performance and tune accordingly, create and manage database user accounts, assign appropriate roles and privileges to users, and ensure security policies are enforced.
- Database Storage Management: Manage database storage structures, allocate system storage, and monitor and optimize database performance.
- Backup and Recovery Procedures: Implement and maintain database backup and recovery procedures, test and validate backup and recovery processes, and investigate and resolve database-related issues.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other IT staff, provide support during development and testing phases of projects, and assist in planning and executing database upgrades.
