The Role

We're seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for leading the creation of test strategies and plans for complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the creation of test strategies and plans for complex projects
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test approach, test coverage, and test deliverables
  • Conducting comprehensive and thorough test execution (automated and manual) for complex software systems
  • Identifying high-priority test scenarios and ensuring effective test coverage across functional, non-functional, and edge-case scenarios
  • Leading the design and implementation of scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks
  • Taking ownership of the testing process and providing technical leadership to the QA team
  • Overseeing the setup, configuration, and management of test environments
  • Defining and monitoring key test metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of testing activities
  • Providing detailed test reports, including analysis of test results, defect trends, and coverage metrics, to stakeholders and project teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience in Automation roles
  • Deep understanding of software QA methodologies, best practices, tools, and processes
  • 3+ years of experience with Javascript, Typescript or a similar scripting language
  • 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining test automation scripts (preferably with Cypress, Playwright, and Appium using Javascript)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD platforms and incorporate QA best practices
  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles
  • Experience providing mentorship to other team members on QA best practices and methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven and take ownership of tasks from beginning to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
