POSITION SUMMARY

Oversee a streamlined and effective manufacturing operation that aligns with client expectations. Key responsibilities include collaborating with fellow managers to establish objectives and comprehend requirements, calculating expenses, and preparing financial plans. Organize workflows to fulfill specifications and deadlines while fostering the development of autonomous teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership


• Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to achieve results through mentoring.


• Ensure all new team members undergo a comprehensive induction process.


• Directly manage Managers, Senior Supervisors, and Supervisors, while indirectly overseeing all functions related to the production unit.


• Assess team competencies and cultivate autonomy through tailored training plans and follow-up actions.


• Uphold operational standards regarding safety, work instructions, quality, and product integrity.


• Rigorously apply standards of response and escalate issues as necessary.


• Cultivate a motivated and adaptable team by fostering positive working relationships and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols.


• Conduct regular meetings and delegate responsibilities effectively.


• Carry out annual performance reviews, salary assessments, career discussions, and succession planning while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.


• Implement on-the-job training for team members daily, focusing on established standards and methodologies.


• Recognize and celebrate team achievements and improvements.


• Maintain a positive social environment within the production unit.


• Manage productivity and capital expenditure projects to meet budgetary and timeline objectives.


• Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations rigorously.


• Ensure the maintenance of equipment through corrective and preventive measures.


• Collaborate with support functions to define work standards.


• Exhibit strong communication skills to engage with corporate stakeholders.

Production Management


• Ensure customer satisfaction is prioritized.


• Accountable for plant production, financial outcomes, and the orderly execution of planned activities.


• Responsible for the performance and profitability of the production unit, focusing on target achievement and improvements.


• Optimize equipment utilization (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).


• Assign and monitor corrective actions for recurring issues in collaboration with plant support teams.


• Ensure manufacturing performance meets volume, quality, and cost objectives through efficient methods and appropriate staffing levels.


• Escalate unresolved issues to the site level.


• Validate the demonstrated capacity of the production unit monthly and communicate findings to relevant departments.


• Commit to production schedules weekly and ensure daily adherence to the production plan.

Continuous Improvement Management


• Lead daily operational meetings focused on performance metrics.


• Conduct workstation ergonomics assessments and implement improvements.


• Engage in daily activities with the team to address top issues and review countermeasures.


• Develop and review action plans aimed at enhancing performance metrics.


• Analyze customer feedback regarding product returns and address issues effectively.


• Transform customer requirements into advanced manufacturing strategies that enhance efficiency and profitability.


• Oversee the deployment of Value Stream Mapping initiatives to streamline operations and reduce waste.


• Prepare budget proposals that include training initiatives and necessary investments.


• Manage the budget for the production unit, ensuring resource allocation aligns with financial parameters and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Contribution to New Projects


• Participate in the industrialization of new projects, ensuring a seamless launch in collaboration with functional departments.


• Validate Lean Process Designs for new initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Reports to: Director of Operations, Plant Manager.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in a relevant field.
  • Position Type: Salaried role.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual, 90% proficiency in English.
  • Self-Awareness: Strong transformational leadership and emotional intelligence, effective communication, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and a commitment to self-development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable in the practical application of engineering principles.
  • Management Experience: Proven experience managing a workforce of over 1000 individuals.

Additional Comments:


  • • Six Sigma Green Belt certification and familiarity with Toyota Production Systems are preferred.

  • • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems is advantageous.

  • • Understanding of production processes, quality control, and cost management is essential.

  • • Familiarity with machinery and tools, including their design and maintenance, is required.

  • • Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resource management principles is beneficial.

  • • Understanding of personnel recruitment, training, and labor relations is important.
