Job Purpose
This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of Unilever's history as we create a new site that will set the standard for future factories. As a Material Planner, you will oversee the factory planning process, maintain bills of materials, and ensure optimum placement of purchase orders for raw and packaging materials.
Main Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing and communicating weekly requirements planning and scheduling, ensuring customer service and maintaining predetermined finished goods and non-finished goods inventories. This position requires effective communication with procurement and vendors to coordinate in-plant arrivals of materials to fulfill production schedules, ensuring no outages while carefully managing Raw/WIP/Pack inventories.
Requirements
- Understand Material Planning principles (MPR, Inventory Models)
- Manage the planning cycle, supervising the requisitioning and releasing of dependent demands for the supply base
- Create and release purchase orders for all packing and raw materials needed to support scheduled production
- Directly manage the production scheduling process
- Communicate with vendors to ensure timely material delivery
- Manage NFG inventory levels to achieve plant and category inventory targets
- Analyze total vendor performance using procurement tools
- Lead/facilitate scheduling and manufacturing meetings as needed
- Manage relevant KPIs and communicate to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations, Planning, Engineering, or related fields
- 3+ years of experience in Logistics, Planning, or Manufacturing
- Working knowledge of project management
- SAP training and experience preferred
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
