Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Specialist to join our team.

**Job Summary**

Responsible for setting up and executing preventive programs related to injury and illness prevention, ergonomics, and compliance with applicable legal requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Coordinates workers' health surveillance programs, including hiring evaluations and periodic examinations.
  • Identifies potential causes of accidents and occupational diseases, working with the industrial safety department to implement preventive measures.
  • Contributes to the development of epidemiological preventive programs for diseases caused by exposure to chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic, and psychosocial agents.
  • Notifies and leads investigations into incidents related to work activities, machinery, equipment, and manufacturing materials.
  • Submits required notifications to the Secretary of Labor and Social Prevention, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Investigates and responds to ST7, ST9 forms, and other clarifying documents related to Social Security.
  • Certifies employees' medical capacity to resume work activities after a period of disability.
  • Determines, calculates, and submits information related to Risk Prime on a yearly basis.
  • Issues opinions on the origin of illnesses or occupational incidents.
  • Notifies the company of medical examination results, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Provides training on prevention of occupational risks.
  • Coordinates the acquisition of medications and essential medical materials.
  • Establishes and ensures compliance with a monitoring program to protect the health of working mothers during pregnancy and lactation.
  • Carries out external medical consultations with relatives of workers when required.
  • Responsible for compliance with regulations, registration, administration, and log reports of patients, medical care, medical history, medications supplied, epidemiological controls, chronic-degenerative diseases, and other necessary data required by health authorities.
  • Handles infectious cases according to applicable public health regulations and protocols.
  • Supervises the medical department, ensuring logs and creating reports.
  • Responsible for coordinating training based on regulatory compliance for first aid brigades.
  • Participates in all activities related to industrial health and safety.
  • Any other task or responsibility assigned by the immediate superior.
  • Cafeteria health surveillance.
  • Monitors compliance with Hygiene, Operational Studies, and examinations for Cafeteria staff.
  • Coordinates controls to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
  • Responsible for MESH Elements deployment and implementation of programs related to Health.
  • Budget responsible for Medical Department.
  • Health Campaigns and programs, Ergonomic Assessment, Operational Control, Management of Change.

**Qualifications**

  • Education level required: Master Degree or Specialism in Occupational Health.
  • Years and area of experience required: 3-5 years minimum in charge of a medical department, medical services, and legal requirements (IMSS, COFESPRIS y STPS). Preferably experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical knowledge: Master Degree or Specialism in Occupational Health, wide knowledge of Mexican Health regulations, 50% English (preferable), medical department projects, MS-Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), knowledge of Excel, Word, electronic mail system, Ergonomics (NOM-036-STPS), Psychosocial Risks (NOM-035-STPS), Disability (NOM-034-STPS).

**Skills**

Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
