Your Role
You will be responsible for designing and developing elegant product features using cutting-edge technology. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to create a seamless user experience for our Pinners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality product features that enhance the Pinterest home feed, making it fast, easy to use, and useful for our users.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to build a holistic experience that meets the needs of all Pinners.
- Prototype new experiences to drive key metrics and improve user engagement.
- Contribute to and lead each step of the product development process, from ideation to implementation to release, ensuring that our solutions can scale to support millions of users.
- Analyze and visualize data to drive product insights and inform our decisions.
- Develop highly innovative consumer-facing mobile products using best-in-class programming skills.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Android development and best practices in Java or Kotlin.
- Knowledge of multi-threading, logging, memory management, caching, and builds on Android.
- Expertise in developing and debugging across a diverse service stack, including storage and data solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of improving software quality with stable releases.
- Experience working on platform teams/initiatives, driving technology adoption across feature teams.
- Ability to stay up-to-date with new technologies and understand what should be incorporated.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
