About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our organization's data needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
- Implement and optimize data storage solutions, such as databases and data warehouses, to ensure high-performance and scalability.
- Develop and maintain data models and database designs to support business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering solutions with business applications.
- Develop and maintain data analytics skills using Python and other relevant tools.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Physics or related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering and related fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines.
- Proven experience in implementing and optimizing data storage solutions, such as databases and data warehouses.
- Data analytics skills using Python.
- Background in data modeling and database design.
- Experience with cloud platforms and services (Azure and Databricks).
- Knowledge of PySpark with the ability to apply it to write Spark applications as well as analyze data in a distributed environment.
- Proficiency in SQL.
