Network Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to join our team at Cognizant. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and implementing complex network solutions.

About the Job

This position involves designing and implementing network solutions using Cisco ISE Switching & Routing Cisco and Cisco Catalyst SDWAN (Viptela). You will oversee the configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of network solutions using Cisco ISE Switching & Routing Cisco and Cisco Catalyst SDWAN (Viptela)
  • Oversight of network infrastructure configuration and maintenance for high availability and performance
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with existing systems
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in network security
  • Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations processes and procedures
  • Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement
  • Implement network upgrades and enhancements to support business growth and scalability
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners for network-related projects
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior network engineers
Requirements
  • Possess a strong understanding of Cisco ISE Switching & Routing Cisco and Cisco Catalyst SDWAN (Viptela)
  • Demonstrate expertise in Medicare & Medicaid Claims Claims and Payer domains
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
  • Show proficiency in network security principles and best practices
  • Display the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
