About This Role

At Johnson Controls, we are seeking a highly skilled Collections Expert to join our team. This key position plays a vital role in ensuring timely payment of invoices, coordinating collection efforts, and identifying high-risk customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate collections calls and emails for accounts that are past due, ensuring prompt communication with customers.
  • Analyze risk by comparing credit limits to open account balances, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Minimize exposure for high-risk customers by implementing effective strategies to mitigate potential losses.
  • Identify disputes on accounts and escalate them to the resolver team, ensuring efficient resolution.
  • Complete daily Collections tasks on the Collections ERP system, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Prepare welcome information for new accounts, setting the tone for excellent customer service.
  • Fulfill credit inquiries for customers, demonstrating a commitment to transparency and compliance.
  • Inactivate dormant accounts, streamlining operations and reducing unnecessary complexity.
  • Support the litigation team by preparing accounts for potential legal action.
  • Generate aging reports, send and reprint invoices, and gather remittance information from customers for cash application purposes.
  • Compile weekly reports on AR accounts and collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Advanced English language proficiency (Mandatory).
  • Intermediate French language skills (Preferred).
  • Demonstrated data analysis skills, with experience in interpreting complex financial data.
  • Prior collections and risk assessment experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Proven ability to complete assignments efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with clients.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and support departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $85,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
