We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing food inventories, orders, and costs. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records will ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities- Calculate and manage food inventory levels, orders, and costs
- Maintain organized records and ensure accurate filing and storage of reports and invoices
- Process invoices using computer programs and conduct inventory audits to determine inventory needs
- Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify manager of low stock levels
- Verify and track received inventory, complete inventory reports and logs, and reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports
- Receive, unload, and process deliveries, and refuse acceptance of damaged or unacceptable items
- Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee return process
- Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures
- Monitor PAR levels for all food items to ensure proper levels
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory management software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
