Job Overview

Zendesk is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Go-to-Market Finance & Strategy team. As a trusted advisor, you will inform and guide critical C-level decisions through insightful analyses and thought partnership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide decision support and act as a thought partner to GTM leadership, delivering accurate financial and non-financial information and analyses for their business decisions.
  • Perform ongoing and ad hoc analyses, synthesizing complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations to drive value engineering opportunities and business results.
  • Build and improve robust financial models to accurately forecast and plan key financial and operational metrics.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting on existing and new key financial and operational metrics against strategic goals, identifying emerging trends and revealing opportunities.
  • Establish processes and drive improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize financial systems, improve forecast accuracy, and create tools.
  • Support hand-off of processes to our Finance center of excellence.
  • Own standardized financial monthly/quarterly budgeting and internal/external reporting processes, applying good understanding of accounting to produce accurate forecasts.
Requirements
  • 4-6 years of experience in technology, banking, private equity, corporate finance, economics, or consulting in a fast-paced industry.
  • Advanced skills in building scalable financial models, with ability to understand and translate how their inputs/outputs resolve business outcomes.
  • Experience with financial planning systems (Adaptive is a plus).
  • Strong work ethic, analytical proficiency, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills with commitment to achieving quality results.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to establish collaborative relationships and influence senior leadership.
  • Strong EQ, experience partnering across matrixed organizations, and an appreciation for building deep business partnerships.
  • Highly-motivated self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and change, with experience working with tight deadlines and effectively leading multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Positive attitude with an analytical approach and desire to learn new things quickly.
