Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer - Design and Engineering to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard accepted methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard accepted methods.
  • Perform most assignments with instructions as to general results expected, exercise sound judgment to resolve problems, and solicit the approval of the department manager or project engineer for proposed design solutions.
  • Perform detailed phases of engineering work on major projects or total engineering work on projects of smaller or moderate scope.
  • Devise new approaches and solutions to problems encountered and communicate changes to the team.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of less experienced engineers and designers and be responsible for checking a portion or all of the drawings completed on the project within the discipline.
  • Take part in client contact and business development activities.
  • Meet with clients to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction.
  • Write portions or all of the specifications and assist in or prepare total cost estimates.
  • Perform design work on CADD.
  • Develop engineering concepts and presentations.
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines.
  • Keep current on new design methods and ideas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in design and engineering calculations for fire protection systems
  • Experience mostly in industrial and commercial projects
  • Advanced English is mandatory
  • Experience in multidisciplinary coordination
  • Experience in coordinating and mentoring other team members
