Position Overview
This role is dedicated to a professional in Materials Planning within the Carrier HVAC Americas division. The individual will play a pivotal role in supporting various manufacturing facilities with initiatives focused on materials transformation related to Supply Chain, Demand Planning, SIOP, and digital advancement. The position entails cross-functional collaboration to enhance existing processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives while promoting best practices across different regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the implementation of the Materials Management & Logistics (MM&L) Carrier framework across North American manufacturing sites.
- Assisting in the standardization and establishment of policies and procedures for effective material management and logistics.
- Providing leadership to regional sites to advance materials management practices, including SIOP, PFEP, production scheduling, capacity planning, supply chain management, and inventory control.
- Identifying and spearheading transformational initiatives aimed at enhancing materials management and achieving inventory goals.
- Facilitating the adoption of digital tools such as Kinaxis, LeanDNA, ERP systems, and PowerBI reporting at various sites.
- Monitoring metrics and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
- Conducting assessments of MM&L processes at sites and driving initiatives for process maturity.
- Acting as a change advocate to promote adherence to the MM&L Carrier framework.
Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply chain management, manufacturing, distribution, materials management, logistics, or operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional qualifications that may enhance your candidacy include:
- Comprehensive understanding of demand and supply planning, along with material management.
- Solid grasp of financial planning principles.
- Experience with SIOP digital platforms (e.g., Kinaxis), Material Management solutions (e.g., LeanDNA), and supplier portal systems (e.g., Infor).
- Demonstrated experience in process definition, implementation, and change management.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities.
- Familiarity with LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities, with negotiation skills to achieve consensus and commitment within a cross-functional team.
- APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.
