Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the General Ledger function, specifically for month-end/year-end closing, account reconciliations, and analysis, as well as financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, customer rebates reconciliations, and analysis
- Month-end/year-end close activities, including journal entries, corporate reporting, and rollover of balances
- Inter and intracompany eliminations, reporting, and reconciliations
- SAP month-end processing, including assessments, allocations, and foreign exchange valuation
- IFRS reporting packages preparation
- Communication with the central finance team on the status of monthly closing, including the preparation and submission of SEM German GAAP reporting
- Leadership in posting freight activity and re-allocation of freight expenses
- Assistance to other areas of finance with various projects and questions
- Assistance with KMPG (interim/ final) audit requests
- Special projects assigned by manager
Requirements:
- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and a deep understanding of account reconciliations, accounting principles, and procedures
- 1-4+ years of experience in general accounting within a manufacturing or public accounting environment
- SAP or other ERP experience strongly preferred
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
- Able to confidently and efficiently correspond to all levels of management
- Advanced independent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Shows commitment to process improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field required
- Accounting strongly preferred
