About the Team
Zillow's AI Enablement team is part of the Central Data Engineering Organization and works closely with multiple product and analytics organizations. As a key member of this team, you will contribute to the design and implementation of data engineering solutions that will simplify data-intensive parts of the machine learning lifecycle, such as feature engineering. Our current focus is to work with our ML stakeholders to define end-to-end data solutions for various machine learning pipelines powering GenAI-based offerings.

About the Role
As a Software Development Engineer in the Zillow Group AI Enablement team, you will:

  • Design and build scalable streaming systems for orchestrating end-to-end event storage, enrichments, and access.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams (platform, product, ML engineering) to scope and deliver tools ensuring ease of system use.
  • Work with a variety of technologies such as Flink, Spark, Kafka, dbt, DynamoDB, AWS Transcribe, etc.
  • Code with the best language for the job, be it Java, Python, Go, or Scala.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree (BS+) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience with building and maintaining data-intensive applications.
  • A strong background in Java or Python.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for collaborating across organizational boundaries.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
  • Authorization to work in Mexico.
