Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ECAD Design Engineer to join our team at Opmobility. As an ECAD Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and validating developed products, including Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), to ensure they meet customer requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and validate developed products, including PCBs, to ensure they meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with other members of the project team, including PDTL, HW, SW, MCAD engineer, component engineer, and Quality assurance, to ensure project goals are met.
- Design Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) according to customer and internal requirements, participate in technical design reviews, and communicate with engineers from other departments.
- Search for cost-saving solutions and make design robust to fulfill EMC requirements.
- Lay out PCBs based on inputs from HW and MCAD engineer, including current/track and routing, ESD and EMC requirements, test points, location of components, and mechanical stress.
- Support customer reviews and meetings, sample preparation, product launch, and warranty analysis.
- Support reviews and meetings with suppliers, solve engineering queries and proposals to PCB design regarding feasibility, tolerances, and cost impact.
- Act as a domain expert in the PCB design area and execute review of the most complex PCB designs.
- Participate in PCB design technical review with experts from other teams to ensure EMC/EMI requirements are met.
- Investigate the root cause of tests failure or design issues and propose solutions for PCB design optimization and issue fixation.
- Cooperate and share information with the international team and work according to VEDS process, creating specifications and drawings.
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of VEDS process and work according to company standards and processes.
- Work on other tasks given by supervisor if not in contradiction with the original job description.
- Respect all rules given for Health and Safety protection, Fire protection, and all internal rules and legislative norms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics or Mechanical (Preferred)
- Secondary school with graduation in electrical/mechanical and with 5 years of experience in automotive (Optional)
- English on intermediate level (B2)
- Experience with PCB design and technology
- Experience with Altium Designer or similar tools
- Knowledge of electronics circuits and LED problematic
- EMC/EMI problematic in PCB design
