Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to the shop floor, ensuring that production processes are optimized and efficient.
- Test manufactured products to maintain quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in the refinement of engineering systems and processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Resolve or coordinate the resolution of complex technical issues on the assembly line and in the manufacturing process.
- Lead technical design, development, and process equipment testing for assigned products.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals on products for customers.
- Establish processes to eliminate defects and improve product quality.
- Provide continuous improvement to manufacturing processes and product designs.
Requirements:
- Develop manufacturing equipment purchase proposals by studying manufacturing plans and commitments.
- Recommend new manufacturing equipment by identifying vendors and operating equipment, including control devices.
- Complete equipment cost projections by analyzing investment, return, and savings.
- Monitor equipment installations by advising crews.
- Meet production requirements by designing equipment modifications.
- Prepare equipment operators by conducting training and providing reference and support resources.
- Maintain process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
- Maintain equipment records by filing documents and updating equipment databases.
- Protect organization value by keeping information confidential and cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
- Contribute to engineering and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests and helping others accomplish job results.
