Kubernetes Engineer Job Description

About the Job

SUSE is seeking a skilled Kubernetes Engineer to join our team. As a Kubernetes Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting software programs for software enhancements and new products. Your expertise will be essential in developing software, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Design software enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software.
  • Analyze designs and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required.
  • Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portions of applications.
  • Lead project teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for assigned systems portions or subsystems.
  • Collaborate with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Represent the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 4-6 years of experience.
