The Opportunity:
- Prioritize Voice of the Customer requirements to ensure high-quality products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Implement 10 Industrialization quality fundamentals: Risk/Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (R/PFMEA), Critical-To-Quality/Critical-To-Process Management, Process Capability, Control Plans, Supplier and Part Approval, Process Audit, Pilot Run / Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Problem Solving and Product Change Management.
- Drive Design Assurance Essentials including Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Mission Profile, P-Diagram, Design Optimization, Tolerancing, Robust Design Verification and Validation, Measurement System Analysis (MSA) / Repeatability and Reproducibility Assessment, Problem solving and Field reliability.
- Influence suppliers to meet quality goals and implement proper controls.
- Lead component qualification planning and execution.
- Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to ensure proper quality is built into processes.
- Include quality items in equipment, tool, and process qualification plans.
- Transfer process quality data and requirements to suppliers and manufacturing facilities.
- Deliver Control Plans (CQCPs) to plants for creation of Process Control Plans and Incoming Inspection.
- Resolve quality issues throughout the project, including production pilot.
- SUPPORT AND TRAIN CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS ON METHODS AND TOOLS NEEDED TO REACH ROBUSTNESS, CAPABILITY, AND QUALITY TARGETS.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Design Engineering or New Developments.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification minimum.
- Core Tools Knowledge and Certification: APQP, Advanced Product Quality Planning, Automotive Meaningful Error, CONTROL PLAN, Statistical Process Control, Measurement System Analysis and PPAP.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Project Management knowledge desired.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- This role requires 30% travel.
