Job Title: Eaton Customs Expert - Import/Export Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customs Generalist to join our team at Eaton. The successful candidate will provide direct support to the Customs Manager, ensuring that all import and export activities comply with Mexican Customs regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customs laws and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will be responsible for ensuring data integrity of trade compliance processes, implementing regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment, and managing reports for monthly reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure Import and Export operations are carried out in accordance with programs or based on instructions received and in compliance with customs law.
• Implement regulatory requirements in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Attend internal and customs audits and other requirements from SAT.
• Elaborate reports on a monthly basis for Import and Export analysis.
• Oversee Mexican sites in charge, ensuring compliance with reporting management.
• Assist in Inventory reconciliation of Fixed Assets vs Import Records.
• Assist in maintaining certifications and programs accredited like IMMEX, OEA, CT-PAT, PROSEC, etc.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Trade Compliance and/or Customs Law.
• 1-5 years of experience in the field.
• Fluent in English-Spanish.
• Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas).
• Knowledge of annex 31/24 system.
• Basic auditing Skills.
• Balance Account Reconciliation.
• Knowledge of ERP transactions.
• Ability to improve and update Customs Software.
• Negotiation skills.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
