Job Summary

The ETO Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design and release of customizations to computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units. This role requires collaboration across disciplines, managing various tasks and activities in a dynamic environment, and solving complex problems where no precedence exists.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customization Design: Create customizations of standard computer room air conditioning (CRAC) products as laid out by customer specifications.
  2. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate across the disciplines of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering, as well as production and offering teams.
  3. Engineering Design Verification: Perform a variety of engineering design verifications using traditional engineering methods and CAD programs.
  4. Problem-Solving: Develop solutions to complex problems where little or no precedence exists - the use of ingenuity and creativity is regularly required.
  5. Design Review: Review completed CAD and schematic drafting to verify design intent.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in an engineering field.
  2. Understanding of Thermodynamics: Basic understanding of thermodynamics.
  3. Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical design.
  4. Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment independently and as a member of a dynamic team; offer and receive constructive criticism.
  5. Project Management: Demonstrated history of delivering quality products to market as part of an engineering team.
  6. Communication Skills: Excellent project management skills and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience: Preferred 4-8 years of experience in an HVAC related engineering field.
  2. PLM Systems: Experience with PLM systems (BOM management and change order release).
  3. Manufacturing Engineering: Experience working closely with associates in manufacturing engineering and production roles.
  4. Manufacturing Limitations: Understanding of manufacturing limitations, formed sheet metal and formed copper tubes.
  5. Electrical Schematic Layout: Understanding of electrical schematic layout and creation.
  6. CAD Software: Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferred CREO and greater.
Education and Certifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an accredited college or university.
