Baker Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Baker Assistant to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing breads and pastries, including preparing doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare breads and pastries according to recipes and quality standards
• Review production sheets to understand the variety of baked goods to be produced daily
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the bakery area
• Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures
• Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout the shift

Requirements

• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• No supervisory experience required
• License or Certification: None
