Key Responsibilities
  • Execute new product development projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Manage custom order engineering (COE), Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), Cost-out projects, and new product introduction (NPI) projects for Dry-Type Transformers.
  • Provide maintenance and follow-up to order management systems, including Mapics, Excel spreadsheets, and Vista.
  • Create and maintain updated manufacturing information (BOM, D-Spec, Winding Sequence, Dwgs) using various documentation systems (CMS, D-Spec, AS-400, Vista, Mapics, ECN, Acad / Inventor).
  • Support new product introduction spreads, ensuring successful implementation of Pro-Launch products.
  • Manage activities with Engineering Technicians and Mechanical Designers to comply with plans for new product implementation.
  • Provide technical support to Production Control, Customer Service, Technical Resource Center, Production, Quality, Manufacturing, Accounting, Flex Center, and Materials departments.
  • Actively participate in improvement projects that positively impact Cost, Quality, and Cycle Time.
  • Participate in the Corrective and Preventive Action system quality.
  • Help meet environmental control system objectives, knowing the policy and complying with applicable methods and procedures.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Industrial/Electrical/Electronic or equivalent Engineering degree.
  • Transformer Design expertise.
  • Electro-Magnetic Design knowledge.
  • Optimized Program Service (OPS) skills.
  • Project and Time Management abilities.
  • MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) proficiency.
  • Drafting Principles, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • AutoCAD / Inventor skills (preferable).
  • Bill Of Materials Structure Knowledge (AS-400 / MAPICS).
  • Design for Six Sigma expertise.
  • Product Lifecycle management skills.
  • ECN/ECR knowledge.
  • Industry standards for Transformers.
  • National Electric Code (NEC) understanding.
